Clear your browsing history

Clear your browsing history in Chrome.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click History. History.
  4. On the left, click Clear browsing data.
  5. Select how much history you want to delete. To clear everything, select All time.
  6. Check the boxes for the info you want Chrome to clear, including Browsing history. ...
  7. Click Clear data.


Clear your browsing history in Edge.

  1. Click the "Settings and more" button

In the top right hand corner of your Edge browser's window, you will see a small button with 3 dots in it. This is the "Settings and more" button

Click it. It will reveal a menu with more options. One of them will be named "Settings".

  1. Select the "Settings" menu item

At the bottom of the large menu which just appeared, the bottom item will be called Settings. Click on it.

The Settings menu will now appear.

  1. Click on the "Privacy, Search, and Services"

Click on Privacy, Search, and Services in the menu column on the left hand side of the screen.

  1. Click on the "Choose What to Clear" button

In the main screen, under the Clear browsing data heading, you will see a blue button labled Choose What to Clear - click on it.

  1. Select what you want to clear from Edge

You will be presented with a list of checkboxes for various things which can be deleted from Edge.

Choose what you would like to delete from Edge by keeping the checkbox ticked. Untick anything which you don't want to delete. You can scroll down to see a few extra possibilities.
